Call for Workshops/Tutorials

In ICIR 2024, a program of half-day workshops and tutorials will be held prior to the conference, taking place on 5th and 6th of December, 2024. Workshops and tutorials will be held on Wednesday, 4th of December, to promote interactions among practitioners and researchers interested in deeper engagement with relevant topics for the Intelligent Realities community. We request that proposers design a program aimed at in-person attendance and take into account the logistical requirements of their event (such as maximum contributions, space requirements, etc.) when drafting their proposals. Additionally, proposers should strive to include a diverse range of perspectives and backgrounds in their event.

Proposals for half-day workshops and tutorials with topics related to the conference scope are all welcome:

Workshops should prioritize active engagement between participants and guest speakers. Tutorials need to include instructional content, resembling a condensed course, to demonstrate and elucidate new techniques for a diverse audience.

All workshop and tutorial proposals must be submitted in PDF format via EasyChair, adhering to the specified template, and should not exceed 10 pages.

Evaluation criteria of the workshop/tutorial proposals:

The Workshops and Tutorials Committee will assess proposals based on the following criteria:

  1. The significance and pertinence of the proposed topics in relation to the conference’s focus.
  2. The effectiveness of the strategies to engage attendees and encourage their active participation throughout the event.
  3. The inclusiveness of the event for individuals of varied backgrounds and levels of expertise.
  4. The diversity and experience of the organizing team.

Note: Upon acceptance, organizers will be required to provide a final abstract for their workshop/tutorial.
