Call for Papers

We are very pleased to invite you to submit your latest research results, developments, and ideas to the IEEE 3rd International Conference on Intelligent Reality (ICIR2024), which will be held at the University of Coimbra, Portugal, from December 5th to 6th, 2024.

After two previous successful events that were held exclusively online due to pandemic restrictions, this 3rd edition will be the first on a face to face format. It offers to the participants an opportunity to present their recent works and to take part in technical sessions, workshops, exhibition sessions, and thematic visits in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Coimbra.

The IEEE 3rd  International Conference on Intelligent Reality – is organised by the IEEE Digital Realities Technical Community, which in turn resulted from an IEEE Future Directions initiative sponsored by the following IEEE Organizational Units: IEEE Consumer Technology Society, IEEE Council on RFID, IEEE Electronics Packaging Society, IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, IEEE Reliability Society,  IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, and IEEE Standards Association.

The IEEE 3rd International Conference on Intelligent Reality (ICIR 2024) aims at identifying the challenges and opportunities inherent in deploying intelligent tools and interactive disruptive technologies into immersive environments. It provides a forum for leading researchers, industry professionals, and standards experts to share their research findings and ideas.

Intelligent Reality (IR) advances human adoption of integrated Augmented, Virtual, and Mixed Reality (AR/VR/MR), with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning, Digital Twins, IoT, Robotics, Blockchain, Wearables, 5G, Internet of Everything, etc. It integrates AI-accelerated workflows, complex simulations, advanced visualizations, real-time analytics, and many other components to fuse the physical world with digital spaces, thus, enabling humans and machines to co-exist and leverage each other’s strengths.
